Problems/Comments?

If you are having problems with getting the most recent graphic or text forecast. The likely reason is that your cache on your browser is not recognizing the downloaded files as being updated. The cache is used to keep local copies of frequently accessed documents and graphics and helps to reduce the time connecting to a web site. We have rarely had problems with our server updating charts and text messages.  If the steps below don't help solve your problems or if you would like to make any other comments please send a e-mail message.

Problem: Old version of text message or charts

Solution: Try purging the temporary internet files on your browser. The reload or refresh button on your browser will compare the cache document or graphic to the version at the web site and should show the most recent version.

For Internet Explorer try the following steps:

  1. Go into the menu bar and get into tools then click internet options. Next click delete temporary internet files and click the option to delete all offline content then click OK to delete all temporary files.

  2. Click settings and click check for newer version of stored pages everytime. [optional]

This should purge all old files stored by your IE browser and you should be getting the latest charts and text messages.

For Netscape try the following steps:

  1. Go into the menu bar and get into the edit option then click preferences

  2. Find the option that has preferences listed and click this item. You should find the cache with various properties. Make sure that the cache option has a check mark next to either check every time or once per session.

This should allow new versions of charts and text files to be stored in your cache.
