About 48 Hr 500 mb Forecast
Computer generated chart that is produced twice a day from the NCEP globel model
run. This product portrays the synoptic scale flow with long waves and short waves
troughs analyzed that are associated with surface lows. The contour interval is
for intervals of 60 meters. Wind barbs depict wind direction and wind speed in
knots.
