Weather bulletin for METAREA 2, METEO-FRANCE,
Toulouse,  Thursday 16 February 2012 at 1015 UTC.

- Wind speed in BEAUFORT SCALE -  Sea : Total significant -
- Please be aware, wind gusts can be a further 40 percent stronger
than the averages given here, and maximum waves may be up to twice
the significant height.


Part 1 : NO WARNING


Part 2 : General synopsis, Thursday 16 at 00 UTC

 Low 1016 40N42W, moving northeast and deepening, expected 1011
48N38W by 17/00UTC, then 1010 51N29W by 17/12 UTC. Associated
disturbance reaching FARADAY and ALTAIR soon.
  High 1043 47N21W, with little move, expected 1032 46N14W by 17/12
UTC. Associated ridge in northeast towards north Scotland, drifting
south, expected over France by 17/00 UTC.
  ITCZ axis along 12N16W, 7N17W, 3N20W to 3S43W.



Part 3 : Area forecasts to Friday 17 at 12 UTC

FARADAY :
In west: South 5 or 6, increasing 6 or 7 soon, then veering
Southwest 5 or 6 at end. Gusts. In east: Southerly 2 to 4,
increasing South or Southwest 3 to 5 soon,  then 6 or 7 in
northwest later. Moderate or rough, becoming very rough in west.
Rain, then showers in west.

ROMEO :
Variable clockwise 2 to 4, becoming locally Southwest 4 or 5 in
northwest at end. Moderate

ALTAIR :
In west: South or Southeast 4 to 6, increasing locally 7 in far
northwest, veering South or Southwest later, then decreasing 4 or 5
at end, locally 6 in northwest. In east: Southeasterly 3 or 4,
increasing South 4 or 5 in northwest and becoming Variable 2 to 4
in southeast, then increasing Southwest 4 to 6 in northwest at end.
Moderate or rough, becoming at times very rough in extreme
northwest. Rain, then showers in west, soon.

CHARCOT :
Northeast 3 to 5, locally 6 in far southeast, becoming Variable
clockwise 1 to 3 in northwest later. Moderate, locally rough in far
southeast.

PAZENN :
North or Northeast 3 to 5 from north to south, decreasing
Northeasterly 2 to 4 later, becoming locally Variable 1 to 3 in
north  at end.  Moderate.

FINISTERRE :
Northeast 5 or 6, locally 7 near capes and in south soon,
decreasing 4 to 6 at end. Gusts.  Moderate, locally rough in south.


IROISE, YEU :
Northerly 3 or 4, decreasing 1 to 3 later. Moderate, becoming
slight  soon.

ROCHEBONNE, CANTABRICO :
Northeasterly  2 to 4, veering East or Northeast  later, increasing
5 in far west of CANTABRICO at end. Moderate, becoming slight from
east

ACORES :
In west: Southeasterly 4 or 5, occasionally 6 in far northwest at
first,  decreasing 3 or 4 soon, temporarily 5 in extreme northwest.
In east: or Northeast 4 or 5, locally 6 in far southeast at first,
gradually decreasing Easterly 2 to 4 later. Moderate or rough,
decreasing moderate later. Some showers.

JOSEPHINE :
Northeast 4 or 5, at times 6, decreasing 4 or 5 soon, then 3 or 4
at end, locally 5 in north. Rough, locally moderate in southeast,
gradually decreasing moderate. Some showers in west.

PORTO :
Northeast 4 or 5, locally 6 in northwest, veering East 3 to 5 from
east later. Rough in northwest, decreasing moderate at end.

SAO VICENTE :
Northeast 3 or 4, backing Northerly soon, then increasing
occasionally 5 in far northeast later. Slight or moderate from east
to west.

CADIZ :
Northeast 3 or 4, locally 5 in north at first, veering Northerly 2
to 4 soon, then increasing Easterly 3 or 4, locally 5 in the
leeward of the strait later, and becoming Variable 1 to 3 in south.
Becoming slight.

GIBRALTAR STRAIT :
West 2 to 4, backing East 3 or 4 soon, then increasing 4 or 5
later. Smooth, becoming slight.

IRVING :
East or Northeast 4 or 5, occasionally 6 in east at first,
decreasing 3 or 4, occasionally 5 later. Moderate or rough from
east to west, decreasing. Some showers.

MADEIRA :
Northeast 4 or 5, occasionally 6 in west at first, decreasing 3 or
4, locally 5 in south later. Moderate or rough from east to west,
decreasing. Some showers, locally thundery.

CASABLANCA :
Northeast 3 or 4, increasing temporarily  5 in extreme southwest
soon, decreasing 2 to 4 later. Moderate, decreasing slight in east.


AGADIR :
Mainly Northeast 2 to 4, but locally Variable in southeast,
increasing Northeast 3 to 5 soon. Moderate.

METEOR :
North or Northeast 3 or 4, locally 5 in far northeast, increasing
Northeast 4 or 5 from northeast later. Moderate, becoming locally
rough in far northeast. Showers in east, at times thundery.

CANARIAS :
North or Northeast 2 to 4, locally 5 in extreme northwest,
increasing Northeast 3 or 4, locally 5 in northwest at end.
Moderate, locally rough in far northwest. Showers in northwest, at
times thundery.

TARFAYA :
Variable 2 to 4, but locally Southeast 5 in far east at first,
becoming Easterly 3, or 4, at times 5 in south soon. Moderate.

CAPE VERDE :
North or Northeast 3 or 4 in north, and Northeast 4 or 5 in south.
Moderate, locally rough in southwest. Isolated showers in
northwest.

CAP BLANC :
Northeast 3 or 4, locally 5 in far southeast. Moderate.

CAP TIMIRIS :
North or Northeast 4 or 5. Moderate.

SIERRA LEONE :
Northeast 4 or 5, but locally Variable 2 to 4 in extreme southeast.
Moderate or rough, locally slight in extreme southeast.

GULF OF GUINEA :
Mainly Southerly 2 to 4, but locally Variable 1 to 3 in west.
Slight or moderate. Showers, locally thunderstorms with severe
gusts in west.

POINTE NOIRE :
South or Southeast 3 or 4, but locally Variable 1 to 3 in far east
at first. Moderate or slight. Thunderstorms with severe gusts.
