height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

.SYNOPSIS FOR CALIFORNIA WATERS...A cold front will move SE over
the N and central waters tonight, then dissipate. An area of high
pressure will build in from the W and NW tonight through early
Tue, then gradually weaken through Tue night. A low pressure
trough along the California coast will shift further inland
tonight into Mon, then redevelop near the N and central coast Tue
and Tue night and then persist along the entire coast through Fri
night. The area of high pressure will remain W of the area while
drifting W Wed and Wed night, then move to the W and NW of the
waters Thu through Fri night.
